Well, 2018 is here, and I’m not ready for it. I’m as bug-eyed as the owl in the picture. I’m running behind already because I was sick all Christmas week. I’ll spare you those details. In this post, I’ll share progress I’ve made on my current goals, sharing links and observations that I think you would be interested in.
First Goal: Website Re-do
I need to re-do my website using a new theme (design) that I purchased during Studiopress Black Friday sale (25% off). Since I intend to work on that this coming week, I thought I should warn you that, if you don’t hear from me on schedule, it will be because I had difficulties converting to the new theme. Rest assured—like Arnold, I’ll be back.
Second Goal: Conferences
Third Goal: New Devotional for Writers
I’ve said I would post a devotional for writers each month in 2018. I’ve set next week and the debut for the devotional. However, it all depends on how well Goal One goes (website re-do). I want to write these devotionals based on this model.
Fourth Goal: Submit Regularly
I have the 2018 version of Christian Writers Market Guide in hand, plus I’ve renewed my subscription to the online guide. You can check out both versions here. I’m going to start with publications I’ve submitted to before. However, many of them are no longer publishing or do not take as much freelance as they once did. I’ll let you know how that goes.
Readers, what about you? Are you making any progress on your goals for 2018? Perhaps you don’t set goals and would like to share your thoughts on why. Please share in the comments. Newsletter recipients, click on the title of the article to go to the site and scroll down to Leave a Reply.
